Transformational Facilitator

A grounded path between psychology and spirituality: feel it in the body, let it move, let it pass, let it integrate.

Welcome. I’m Amira Attar, a transformational facilitator. My path took me deep into psychology and then deep into spirituality, and I found my place in the middle, where the mind and the body finally get to speak to each other. I am your guide, and you are your own great healer. You already hold the keys to your healing, and I walk beside you while you learn to use them. Most of what I do now is inner child work: feel it in the body, let it move, let it pass, let it integrate.

I’m based in San Diego, California, and I work with people one to one, in person and online, from wherever in the world they’re finding their way back to themselves.

I’ve been curious about what lives beneath the surface for as long as I can remember. Around age ten, I would settle into a director’s chair while a friend lay across my bed, and I’d play therapist, asking her questions, trying word association games, and even creating inkblot tests. Still makes me giggle thinking about it. I was tuning into what people needed long before I had the words for it!

Before my work in the healing arts, I spent more than a decade with children and families, including children with special needs. That gave me a deep understanding of human development, attachment, and emotional healing, and of how the patterns formed in early life keep shaping us as adults. Inner child work from someone who actually worked with children.

I hold a master’s in clinical psychology, and I’m an advanced yoga instructor (E-RYT 500), which brings meditation and somatic practice into everything I do. Both live inside the way I work: grounded in how the mind and nervous system actually function, and open to everything the body knows that words can’t reach.

I spent five years living and teaching in Bali, training other yoga teachers while on a personal healing journey of self-transformation through yoga, meditation, breathwork, ceremonial practice, and shadow work. It was there that I came to understand the mind-body connection. When people feel safe enough to slow down, listen, and feel, they get to reconnect with themselves.

Today, my work centers on inner child work. We meet the younger parts of you that are still carrying old hurt, and we do it through the body, because the mind alone doesn’t reach them. Alongside that I bring in somatic practice, nervous system regulation, guided meditation and energy healing. My approach is gentle, compassionate, and deeply attuned to the person sitting in front of me, because every body and every story asks for something different.

People often leave feeling a softening in their body, and a little more room to be themselves.

At its heart, my work is about helping people come home to themselves: to their own wisdom, to their own pace, and to a life that feels like theirs.
